Easter Basket Gift Ideas for Tweens

Tweens can be a hard age group to shop for. Tweens are kids between the ages of 9-12. They aren’t little kids anymore but they aren’t responsible teenagers either. Tech gifts can get expensive. And really, those kinds of big gifts take away from the true spirit of the Easter holiday. Easter baskets are meant to be fun and meaningful. A small gift given out of love and honoring the holiday.

One of my biggest pet peeves is gifting junk. We have all had kids come home from birthday parties with a guest party bag full of garbage. It gets thrown away or it sits on the counters forever driving me nuts! I hate giving junk to other people’s kids, which is why we don’t do guest gift bags at our birthday parties.

This shopping conundrum comes at Christmas time too when shopping for stocking stuffers. How can you find small, affordable things that are trendy but also long-lasting? How can a gift have the cute factor but last more than one day of being cute? Novelty items are fun, but ultimately they end up in the trash or donation box.

I happen to be very good at gift curation and I have come up with a list of Easter basket Gift ideas for your 9-12 year olds! Every item on this list has been gifted to my kids (with some exceptions like the LEGOS and items I give a selection of options for). They play with them, use them, and covet them!

DEVOTIONALS

I included a selection of different devotionals for tweens in my Amazon list. These three here are the ones my kids have read and are reading. They are lovely!

LEGOS

You can’t go wrong with LEGOs! And Amazon has quietly dropped a new collection of spring themed kits.

COOL FIDGETS

Kids of all ages love fidgets. These are the best I’ve seen. The Nee Doh cube is super cool, I love playing with it (don’t get an off-brand version. They are not the same.) These magnet men sets were a HUGE hit in my classrooms! They allow for imaginative play without being babyish.

GAMES

I have several games in the Easter Basket Amazon list. But these are two of our favorites! Flip7 is a trending game right now and we love it! Get your math brain ready, because you will need it! And Left-Right-Center lives in my purse. We love playing it at restaurants while we wait for our food.

FOLDOLOGY

This could be in the games category but it gets a special mention. Foldology is like a logic puzzle meets origami. Each page has a picture you have to reveal and you get the picture by folding it a certain way. It’s fun, it’s challenging, and super rewarding once you get it! There’s a QR code with hints if you get stuck!

SLUSHIE MAKERS

Easter means spring is near and with that brings warm weather. My kids are always asking for cold treats These slushie making cups are super cool! Keep them in the freezer, then add a drink of your choice (my kids like Doc Pop from Poppi). You massage the cup and it turns the drink into a slushie! So fun!

SOUND MAKER

I actually got this for my son in his stocking this Christmas and him and his sister play with it all the time! They like adding sound effects to their lives! lol

I shopped several sound makers and this was the only one that DID NOT have a gun sound effect. That was important to me. If that is something that is important to you too, make sure you check the listing carefully.

Make sure to shop the whole list of Easter Basket Gift ideas. I included 30+ items that your tween will love (and you will too!)
